Vendor Forum Changes
#1
Changes have been put in place in the Vendor section of the forums.

1) Only vendors can create threads in the Vendor News section
2) Vendors should be able to edit their initial posts in their threads indefinitely
3) Vendors are now unable to create threads in the Vendor Discussion section

Some of you may have noticed the "Feedback" in everybodys postbit, It is in testing so any feedback given at this time may be deleted or reset when it is finalised.
It is a separate form of 'rep' from the original system to clear up differences between rep based on posts and rep based on their service.

What does 'rep based on their service' mean?

Instead of adding rep via our traditional system, which can easily confuse somebody adding rep due to the service/product they sold being good from just someone liking a post they made.

This system is intended to be used solely for people to rate the vendors service and product and (mainly to prevent potential abuse) members should only be able to add their feedback on a vendor once.  This once-only thing could change, or we may allow people to change their given feedback after the fact.  It's still in testing.

Aha! Gotcha, ok cheers. While we're talking about reps, are there any plans to return to being Pm'd when you've received a rep or getting a notification?

It should be working now, went over the code which shouldve just ported, but I had a couple of hooks wrong so it wouldnt trigger the PM

edit;
PM on reputation works but will only PM when the rep has a reason given, so the quickrep buttons on the right hand side of posts will not trigger a PM due to being zero-text reputation.
I honestly don't see a point in coding it in to recognize them too, considering no reason is given for the rep other than the post content (which you can see in your rep anyway)

Feedback has been changed so people can edit their feedback after-the-fact if anything weird goes on or changes with the vendor.
I know they're less common on the clearweb but the amount of legit places doing exit-scams lately kinda needs this to be this way.
