Psychedelic visuals as images
I've been playing around with some relatively simple ways of making images that replicate some of the visual effects of tripping. So I thought I'd share.

If anyone's interested in the code I used for this (the workflow involves deforming a source image, editing in an image editor and then un-deforming the edited image so it's back to the right shape again - my code does the deforming and undeforming; it's the first code I've written in about six months, so it's partly an exercise in blowing away the cobwebs and cleaning the rust off my programming skills) then it's available on github.

I've continued working on this.

My code can now easily produce animated versions of those, like this:

or these:

There's a whole gallery here: http://giphy.com/channel/niamhalhyme

Code is updated and available on github.
