You need Glutamate for your brain to produce GABA. You know that, right?

Ok, so you first post something about reducing intake of alcohol etc. then you want to (I assume) increase the effects, which is it?
Either way, don't think its that easy, even if that would work , which it wouldn't, think about the consequences.

Runaway Glutamate levels are a part of the BZD withdrawal syndrome and although i'm not well up on Alcoholism i'm thinking its involved there too. Its a radical idea simply destroy all the Glutamate but the rest of your life with no natural GABA would be unpleasant to say the least.

But what do you mean? You want to reduce the excess of glutamate? What's the reason? I mean there could be so many reasons to DECREASE it but you can't destroy it because you'd be fucked (I don't even know if it's possible to destroy it, but it probably is..)..

A couple of reasons: ALS, Parkinsons, migraines, schizophrenia, hyperactivity, bipolar disorder, autism..

Glutamate and GABA are interconnected, if you have a problem with one then you adjust the other. It needs to be in balance.. You probably want a specialist doing that..

Literally the only option would be something that binds to them receptors irreversibly... Which would cause unknown permanent harm
