Methoxphenidine & sleep
#1
so ive got some mxp i keep contemplating taking a higher dose this time, but i always get really wound up when i cant sleep for hours after taking something (had sleeping problems for the last 5+ years) so im basically wondering once the main effects of the substance have worn off will i find it possible to sleep on the afterglow or from everyones experiences do you all struggle to sleep without sleeping aid do you have to just ride it out till you can sleep or does it drain you and make you tired?

sorry for the rambling,

thanks

Large doses can leave you in a bit of a mess the next day. Very detached in fuzzy in the head, vision can be badly effected (having to close one eye to see) . Depends how much you take really but be careful.

I've taken some pretty reckless doses of MXP and as long as you dont dose at a stupid time like 2AM you won't have those effects the next day.

For sleep, I've managed to get sleep on it after the main effects have subsided pretty easily, but best off keeping an etizolam to hand if you get a bit restless.

I too feel restless from heavy MXP doses afterglow. Always buy benzos and keep them for when you need them. I was so messed up once that I walked to the hospital for free valium. And hey it worked

Till resently I've had problems with sleep and just about any residual psychedelic action keeps me from sleep even beyond effective baseline I'm awake or alert or pondering it all on some level. I always take things as early as possible to avoid the issue. I don't know about MXP - it felt stimmy and not entirely comfortable so I took a sedative fairly quickly; I think it would have to totally wear off before sleep was possible.

i agree with alot said here!MXP is very strange ive taken all sorts of doses and its put me in some very strange places.it stims you up so you cant sleep but yet sometimes feel oddly sedated.high doses mean you might aswel be in bed as there is not alot else your be able to do apart from lay there and enjoy the effects!just make sure you have music on.music is a must!!

Dosing early in the day would probably be your best bet. There's many chems that can keep you up long after the effects have worn off, for those chemicals we have Saturday morning.

I've found it an effective sleep aid strangely enough. Same with diphenidine. Clearly not my sleep aids of choice though but felt very refreshed the next day after doing it. I don't do heroic doses though so that might make a difference.

40mg makes me feel quite cozy and I can easily drift in that amount. Not sure it would work for stim crashes though!
