What do you think of the new guys coming through? You prefer the old grime or the new stuff?

For me people like stormzy, section boys, bugsy Malone are fairly shit.

I much prefer old ghetts,Devlin,Kano, dot rottern, scorcher, prez etc.

And post what you like I don't think anybody else is coming along.

Didn't initially like grime but when you have friends that play it a lot, eventually your brain switches into self-preservation mode and decides its good in order to preserve your sanity. And now my brain genuinely loves it and can't understand the initial negative reaction. Strange.

I did notice the beats got a bit "cleaner" , more well produced from a technical standpoint..... Doesn't sound as dirty. Generally prefer the older stuff for this reason.

I dont rate stormzy too much but that might especially come down to the fact that he's riding the wave of people remembering that the Functions on the low instrumental exists
but other than being tired of that tune I think he's alright
not that exiting though

Its a good time for old people coming back, specifically thinking of monkstar's rinse set here
